The Scarborough Community Chamber advocates for, promotes and develops local business and our community. We lead by education, networking, marketing and generating opportunities for active business members to succeed.

The Scarborough Community Chamber of Commerce advocates for its business members. Scarborough Chamber member businesses are automatically part of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce, along with the other five local Chamber communities.  The Scarborough Community Chamber of Commerce has provided valuable networking opportunities, economic development initiatives and community support activities for over 35 years. The Scarborough Community Chamber of Commerce understands that part of our responsibility to our members and to our town is to give back to the community.  We partner with the Town offering an annual free six-week summer concert series at Memorial Park that attracts people from throughout the state and beyond. Scarborough Community Chamber of Commerce is proud to provide annual scholarships to its high school seniors.  We have provided funds to improve the town’s public library and to help its residents in need of fuel assistance among other needs. Scarborough businesses benefit from engaged residents who value the local business community. The Scarborough Chamber of Commerce helps create energy and enthusiasm that welcomes input to facilitate economic growth and development.   A Vision Committee with joint representation from the Chamber, Scarborough Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO), and the Town helps with short term goals and long range planning on topics such as Public Transportation, Energy, Green Development, and Education.
